If you are reading this, it means you've had an effect on my life. As you might be aware, my mother has been sick for years as a carrier of Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT), also known as Osler-Weber-Rendu Syndrome.
As many of know, I am sadly back East indefinitely from Los Angeles for my mom's last breaths as she has ceased inpatient blood treatment. We are setting-up a charity in her honor so patients like her can get better newspapers, magazines, snacks, and rides to their blood infusions in the years to come. The process for her and many HHT patients is a horrible one and we have had the best doctors along the way. I've lost count at this point but my mom has been transfused with iron hundreds of times over the past 20 years sometimes as much as weekly and been hospitalized for blood for emergency transfusions at least 50 times. As such, I thought through what was the best way to raise funds for patients just like her.
I wanted to build an event that I thought would be representative of one of my mom's home cooked meals which many of you have attended or are still cooking with her delicious recipes. First off, it's invite only. To mom, food is love. Her recipes were best shared with friends and family. It's 4 maybe 5 hours with a little bit of everything for everybody.
We will kick the day off with a statue dedication for the 1999 Women's World Cup Champion team with Brandi Chastain in honor of her granddaughter the gymnast. Then, we got have to do something for her grandson Alex too so there will be an e-sports panel. Being June and Father's day, a bit of Hollywood too in honor of my father who loves to sing. Then, since it's my birthday this month too a splash of venture capital and banking. Plus, we couldn't not have a hint of fashion for her daughters as well. Since it's family time let's make sure there are no interruptions so let's go without any press or phones to bother us so we can sit down chat and enjoy each other's company. At the end of the night everybody wonders where the time went. The event - all with an LA focus will be an annual one so if you can't make it this year please join us next year on July 15, 2020 when the MLB All-Star game comes to LA for the first time in 40 years!
If you would like to donate an item on behalf of one of your clients for auction please e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
